I am a Vata. This is my dosha.
Vata-type people are generally thin and find it hard to gain weight. Because of this, Vatas have very little energy reserve and can tire easily and get themselves out of balance. Vatas need to get sufficient rest and not overdo things, stay warm, and keep a regular lifestyle routine. The Vata dosha controls all movement in the body, including breathing, digestion, and nerve impulses from the brain. When Vata is out of balance, anxiety and other nervous disorders may be present. Digestive problems, constipation, cramps, and even premenstrual pain usually are attributed to a Vata imbalance., The most important thing to know about Vata is that it leads the other doshas. Vata usually goes out of balance first, which causes the early stages of disease. More than half of all illnesses are Vata disorders. Balancing Vata is important for everyone, because when Vata is in balance, Pitta and Kapha are generally in balance as well.
I am learning more about what this means.

The packaging for these eggs makes me queasy. It's absurd that consumers that have the means to recycle can't recycle some things. Things like this semi-precious egg carton that will live on longer than I will. Having a dozen of them in my fridge kept me up late one night. I should be thinking of other things in bed.

I am gathering images of all my favorite things. Soon, I'll be posting the best and worst of things for life, mom and baby.
Kiehl's Panthenol Protein Moisturizing Face cream, which at $27 for a 4 oz. pot is a much better deal then Oil of Olay. So far, it's lasted me for at least 5 months. Since, I live in Colorado and my skin is always thirsty, I have to use a moisturizer every day. With others creams, my makeup instantly dries and creates a flaky layer all over my nose. I only wish I had this ten years ago when I first landed here.
